Crete

I am in CRETE!

though it feels great to be here after 10 years, i haven't seen any of it, since i work till the evening and then i spend most of my time just trying to find a place to have dinner in Iraklio and rest a bit in my hotel.

but the images all around me bring me back distant memories, since i have been here a few times as a kid (my grandma's origin is from the island). Crete has a very special culture, in a lot of ways separate from the rest of Greece. People are very warm, traditions strong, and life goes by in a different pace...

Like the song says: "There's one thing i am certain of: return!" And most probably in the summertime...
