mytilene blogging

i am on the island of Lesbos in the northeast of Greece for the first time in my life, and i see now why my parents consider this place one of their favourites, including it i their holiday plan every summer. it's just beautiful. (btw if you wonder where the word "lesbian" comes from, it is linked to the ancient history of this place, but not in the sense/meaning that this word has today :-)

anyway i will be staying in the capital, Mytilene, for the next 4 days, which is a very picturesque place for its size of population. luckily i will go around the whole island, judging from today's schedule. mytilene is also the biggest port of the island, located in the east, very close to the coast of Turkey.

i am the second nomad on this part of the world, if i am not mistaken suzanne has been here in the past as well, wonder if she has any good photos of the place...
